Ordering Transcripts
When filing Exceptions in the Circuit Court for Howard County, the excepting party must serve a copy of the transcript on the other party, or parties.
The request for a transcript must be made at the time of filing Exceptions.
Circuit Court for Howard County requires that ordering transcripts:
- Request must be in writing by email, fax or first class mail.
- No requests will be accepted over the telephone
After the transcript has been ordered, the excepting party must file a certificate of compliance stating that the transcript has been ordered and the agreement for payment has been made. If no transcript was ordered the excepting party must file a certification that no transcript is necessary to rule on the exceptions; file an agreed statement of facts in lieu of the transcript; or file an affidavit and motion requesting the court accept an electronic recording.
